Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal interviewed Cincinnati Reds shortstop Elly De La Cruz on the field just before the rain-delayed start of the MLB Speedway Classic at Tennessee's Bristol Motor Speedway.

"There's so many people," De La Cruz told Rosenthal. "I want to thank all of them for being here tonight. We're gonna have fun together."

Reds rookie Chase Burns made the start for Cincinnati despite a lengthy delay, even after he had gotten warmed up earlier. The Bravesopted to scratch scheduled starter Spencer Strider, starting lefty Austin Cox instead.

Hall of Famers Johnny Bench and Chipper Jones took part in ceremonial first pitches in a downpour before the delay.

The Cincinnati Reds' Elly De La Cruz waves to fans as he and teammates parade on trucks on the track before the MLB Speedway Classic.
