A Texas WR revealed who he likes better between Arch Manning and Quinn Ewers.

The Texas Longhorns are a month away from getting their shot at revenge against an Ohio State Buckeyes team that beat them in last year’s College Football Playoff semifinal and went on to win the national title.
This time, both teams will feature new faces under center, with Arch Manning replacing Quinn Ewers for Texas, and either Julian Sayin or Lincoln Kienholz set to take over for Ohio State.
On Thursday, Texas wide receiver DeAndre Moore was asked about the difference between playing with Manning and Ewers. Based on his response, it’s clear the junior has a favorite — and it’s the guy he’ll be catching passes from this season, not the one who was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the seventh round this past April.
“One had baby wheels and one has super wheels," Moore responded.
“Which one's which?” the reporter followed up with.
“Oh, you know," Moore added, implying he was referring to Manning.

Will the Arch Manning vs. Quinn Ewers Debate Ever End?
Moore’s comments reignite the Manning vs. Ewers debate that many thought ended when Ewers left for the NFL.
Manning, who comes from a lineage of legendary NFL quarterbacks, was not only a five-star recruit but also the No. 1 overall player in the 2023 high school class (247Sports). Ewers was a five-star recruit as well and rightfully earned the starting role heading into the 2022 college football season.
He led the Longhorns to eight wins that year, then a College Football Playoff semifinal appearance in 2023 while Manning redshirted as a freshman, and followed that up with another deep postseason run this past season.
Despite the success Ewers and the Longhorns enjoyed, fans continued to call for Manning to be the full-time starter throughout 2024. During that season, he appeared in a total of 10 games for Texas and even started two when Ewers was sidelined with an injury. Manning flashed his potential in those outings, leading Texas to two wins while throwing for 583 yards and four touchdowns with two interceptions in his two starts.
The conversation intensified after those starts, but head coach Steve Sarkisian stood by Ewers for the remainder of the season.
The Arch Manning Offseason Hype Train
Manning enters this season as the clear-cut signal caller for the Longhorns and is the favorite to win the Heisman Trophy, according to ESPN Bet. Manning is currently listed at +600, with the next closest players:
- Clemson Tigers quarterback Cade Klubnik (+800)
- LSU Tigers quarterback Garrett Nussmeier (+900)
- Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith (+1200)
- Penn State quarterback Drew Allar (+1600)
Manning was also named to the 2025 Preseason Media Days All-SEC Third Team, and his team was voted first in the SEC Preseason Media Poll.
Expectations are sky-high for the 21-year-old, but he continues to take a humble approach, saying back in January that he believes he gets a lot of "undeserved attention" because of his name. However, he's hopeful "it gets more deserving in the next few months” as he gets the opportunity to be Texas's full-time starter.
