Pedro scored two tap ins after great work from his team mates, but it was his second goal where he provided his sublime and trademark finish to dink it over the goalkeeper.

Cole Palmer has been a bit up and down lately but even he turned up last night to show more of the Cole Palmer of ‘old’ that Blues fans grew used to see, and even bagging a lovely goal from open play to finish things off last night.

Collymore, who was at Villa Park, reacted to the Chelsea performance against his former side.

The former player posted on X:

‘No complaints here. Filleted by better players playing through several gears rather than one, wonderful individual performances backed up with high press, discipline and enterprise.

‘Best team performance I’ve seen at B6 for some time.

‘Well done, Chelsea. 👍🏽’
