Chelsea is starting a different goalkeeper on Wednesday.
Robert Sanchez is on the bench. Filip Jorgensen is into the lineup.
And yeah, it's a bit surprising.
Chelsea is facing Aston Villa, which is in the midst of a great season. This isn't a pushover or anything close to that.
Sanchez has been their starter all season, but on this night in London, he remains on the bench in favor of Jorgensen.
Why isn't Robert Sanchez playing today in favor of Filip Jorgensen?
There's no injury here for Sanchez. This is just a coaching decision.
Kieran Gill of the Daily Mail reports that Sanchez has "simply been benched."
He adds that it's a "big call from Liam Rosenior."
Ironically, Jorgensen started away at Aston Villa a year ago, and he had a shot trickle underneath him to give Villa a 2-1 win.
The Danish goalie has started just one game in the Premier League so far this season, when Sanchez was ineligible after a sending off.
This is the first time he gets chosen in favor of Sanchez when Sanchez is available.
Chelsea fans will have to hope it works out, because it's a big game to make this move.
