The Golden State Warriors have had an underwhelming offseason thus far as they have failed to make any additions to their roster outside of the 2025 draft.

Of course, the main headline for Golden State this summer has been the ongoing drama between them and young forward Jonathan Kuminga.

Golden State is still awaiting a decision by Kuminga about his future and while they have been waiting, they have missed out on multiple free agent targets this summer.

For Kuminga, it has been reported that he is in no rush to make a decision regarding his future either in Golden State or with another team and on Wednesday ESPN’s Shams Charania and Anthony Slater reported that he turned down a two-year, $45 million contract the Warriors offered.

On Wednesday, Charania also released another report that makes Kuminga’s future in Golden State obviously clear.

Charania reported that Kuminga believes that the Warriors have stunted his growth.

This is a massive report and one that makes Kuminga’s future in Golden State seem bleak as he believes that they have stunted his growth and hindered his development.

Of course, it was reported earlier this offseason that Kuminga wants to be the main focal point of a team where he could continue to develop into a star player and after this report, it is clear that is not going to happen with the Warriors.

This comes after he fell out of Steve Kerr’s rotation last season and with his role in Golden State uncertain moving forward, it appears as though Kuminga’s time with the Warriors is set to come to an end this offseason.

Despite this, there have not been many teams showing interest in Kuminga this offseason and Golden State also has a high asking price in a potential sign-and-trade deal.

Because of this, Kuminga may be forced to return to Golden State next season but if that happens, it is likely that they will search for a trade ahead of next season’s trade deadline.
