The FC Bayern midfielder is finally establishing himself on a major scale.
Bayern Munich midfielder Aleksander Pavlović is becoming one of the best players in the Bundesliga this season, and possibly even the world at the moment. At one point, Pavlović was struggling with significant playing time as there was always something keeping him off the pitch whether that be illness, injury, or otherwise. However, the quality was always evident. Thankfully for Bayern fans, the 2025/26 season has been Pavlović’s true chance to shine.
As per Sky Germany, among all players with at least 500 minutes played in this Bundesliga season, Pavlovic ranks per 90 minutes at several different key stats. Pavlović ranks 2nd among successful passes and 3rd among ball actions. Lastly, the German midfielder sits at 4th for passing accuracy, but 1st among midfielders.
Some pretty impressive stats, it is hard to deny. While Pavlović might not have the flashy goals as other popular midfielders, he is quietly becoming one of the best midfielders in the world. As Kimmich ages, Pavlović is sure to take on my responsbility and become the face of Bayern’s midfield in the coming years. Some will point out that he already has become the more important in the central pivot already, and it is hard to argue against that.
While Pavlović is going under the radar for most critics and fans outside the Bundesliga, it is only a matter of time until he becomes a true star at the rate he is playing and Julian Nagelsmann is likely to make him a starter at this summer’s World Cup. With recent comments about playing his whole career in Munich, fans might be in for a treat for the next decade or so.
