Chelsea one of the clubs registering interest in £40m valued Premier League centre back

Chelsea are reportedly one of the club registering an interest in signing a £40m valued Premier League centre back this window.

The Blues are at the moment looking to make some more improvements before the end of the summer window in around four weeks time now.

We got the news late last night that after some tough negotiations, Chelsea and Ajax came to finally agreeing a fee for Jorrel Hato to join the club this summer, something that has now been reported by multiple outlets last night.

But as well as that, Chelsea are still trying to pull off a number of new signings including Xavi Simons of RB Leipzig, with Fabrizio Romano having the latest out on that one yesterday.

But another position that has been reported that the club are also still looking at this summer is another centre back, with Hato coming in as left back cover rather than centre back.

Now this has been a link that has been there for quite a while now, with Chelsea looking at bringing back former defender Marc Guehi who they sold to Crystal Palace not so long ago.

A return to Chelsea looks like it could be a possibility but he also has a lot of interest from other clubs and you genuinely feel that he could finally be off this summer and a move is surely brewing up? Will he end up at Chelsea again? Time will tell.

A report this week from The BBC says that Chelsea, Spurs, Newcastle and Liverpool have registered varying levels of interest in Marc Guehi. Crystal Palace are believed to want around £40m, per the report.
