Aliou Badji has officially joined Sivasspor this Wednesday, July 30, for a new chapter in Turkey. Free after his contract with Red Star, the Senegalese forward signed a new deal with the Turkish club during an official signing ceremony.

Since the end of May 2025, the Dakar-born player had been a free agent after ending his contract with Red Star FC at the close of last season, during which he made 30 Ligue 2 appearances, scoring 7 goals and providing 3 assists. Ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, Aliou Badji has committed to Sivasspor, a club competing in Turkey’s second division. The signing took place in the presence of Burak Özçoban, Sivasspor’s vice-president.

The 27-year-old Senegalese striker returns to Turkish football after previous stints with Ankaragücü in 2021 and more recently Gaziantep FK in 2024. The duration of his new contract has not been disclosed.
