The USC Trojans could welcome verbal commitment No. 32 soon. Even after briefly losing steam for this four-star talent.

Breck Kolojay originally looked projected to land with Miami back in July. The Hurricanes were in the process of keeping an in-state talent home as Kolojay stars for IMG Academy. Yet it also meant USC and Lincoln Riley were set to lose out on topping off its offensive line talent for 2026.

The 'Canes, however, now are the one losing ground on the versatile lineman. Multiple reports state USC is increasing its chances to grab Kolojay.

Chad Simmons and Steve Wiltfong of On3/Rivals feel great about USC landing him. Both recruiting insiders hand the Trojans a 60% confidence score to secure Kolojay.

Meanwhile, 247Sports once plugged Georgia as Kolojay's school of choice for the future. Dropping a 100% confidence score. However, Tom Loy of 247Sports is one believing USC will win Kolojay in the end.

USC holds one advantage over other schools in pursuing the guard/tackle. He's close to a pair of high-profile verbal commits for the 2026 class.

Keenyi Pepe is his high school teammate in Bradenton, Fla. Pepe is still USC's highest ranked verbal commit by 247Sports. But Kolojay shares a past youth connection with five-star tight end Mark Bowman. The two are originally from Colorado. The Mater Dei High of Santa Ana star TE has done his part to court Kolojay over to the Land of Troy.

Adding Kolojay could rearrange the recruiting rankings once again. USC dropped at No. 2 to Georgia by 247Sports, but still remains No. 1 by On3/Rivals. Kolojay adds a versatile swing lineman prospect if he chooses USC.

He's set to announce his verbal commitment on Aug. 1.
