Here's where the Seahawks and Patriots partied after the Super Bowl

Both teams had multiple music stars come perform after the game.

While most of the events for the Super Bowl and people in town were up in San Francisco, the two teams playing in the game finished up their weeks by staying in the South Bay for some star-studded after-parties.

As is rather common for teams playing in the NFL's annual championship, the postgame shindigs are set up well in advance of the game itself. The private parties also happen whether the team wins or loses, and typically have a big-name performer set up for the moment.

As an example, when the 49ers played in the Super Bowl in Las Vegas two years ago and lost in brutal fashion in overtime, the team held their party at the Omnia nightclub inside Caesars Palace and had Lil Wayne as their featured performer.

The setups were a little different on Sunday after the game, when the Seahawks blew out the Patriots 29-13 to win Super Bowl 60 on the field. Both teams had completely avoided San Francisco during the week, flying directly into San Jose and staying in the South Bay (New England stayed at the Santa Clara Marriott while Seattle was at the San Jose Marriott).

Despite the loss, the Patriots held their after-party at the Santa Clara Convention Center, just a few steps down the road from Levi's Stadium. New England had a star-studded group of performers, with Post Malone, 21 Savage and Nelly all taking the stage at some point after the defeat.

Meanwhile, Seattle hosted theirs at the convention center in downtown San Jose, where the Super Bowl Opening Night was also held. The much more festive mood saw Seattle bring the Lombardi Trophy out for fans like comedian Nate Jackson to pose with. The Seahawks hit the 2000s nostalgia for their show by having Ludacris and T-Pain as their main performers for the revelry.

Both teams are expected to depart back for their homes on Monday after spending eight nights in the South Bay. Meanwhile, the NFL is hosting its final events of the week on Monday back up in San Francisco's Moscone Center, with a press conference with Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III of the Seahawks as well as a ceremonial "handoff" to the next Super Bowl host city, which is Los Angeles.
