The former big league outfielder, and member of the 2021 Braves World Series team, passed away unexpectedly.
Terrance Gore, the fleet-footed outfielder and pinch-running specialist who appeared in the 2021 post-season with the Atlanta Braves, has passed away at age 34.
Gore, a native of Macon, Ga., passed away unexpectedly due to complications from a procedure, according to reports. He appear in parts of eight MLB seasons – appearing in 112 games but stepping to the plate only 85 ties. He did steal 43 bases during his career, and became notorious for his inclusion on post-season rosters due to his base-running abilities.
He was a member of the Braves World Series-winning team in 2021 as well as the Kansas City Royals 2015 World Series championship team. He also appeared in the most season with the Chicago Cubs and New York Mets.
Gore stole five bases in the post-season across 11 games but took only two plate appearances, both with the Cubs in 2018.
He did not appear with the Braves in the 2021 regular season – spending most of the season at Triple-A Gwinnett. In 2020, he did appear with the Los Angeles Dodgers during the COVID-shortened regular season but didn’t appear with the team during the post-season.
