Planning to watch Super Bowl LX in El Paso? Find out which sports bars are going all out for the big game between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots.
If Super Bowl LX is like the big games before it, between 150 and 200 million people worldwide will tune in to see the Seattle Seahawks take on the New England Patriots, and most of them will be watching in large groups.
For some, that will be a watch party. For others, it will be at a sports bar, and for those bars, this game is literally their Super Bowl. They'll fill up early for the 4:30 p.m. MT kickoff, so arrive early to guarantee a table and stock up on wings, burgers and sandwiches.
Here is a sampling of sports bars from different parts of town that will go all out for the game.
Union Draft House
A newish chain in El Paso, Union has six locations all over the city: Canyons (7470 Cimarron Plaza); Tierra Este (12040A Tierra Este Road); Sunland (730 Sunland Park Drive beside the Shoppes of Solana); Eastlake (13649 Eastlake Blvd.); George Dieter (1960 George Dieter Drive); Transmountain (4840 Woodrow Bean Transmountain). They also have a location elsewhere on the Rio Grande, in McAllen.
Twin Peaks
The national chain has two El Paso Locations: 8889 Gateway Blvd W; 955 Sunland Park Drive.
Brew Sports Pub West
The locally-owned West Side staple is located at 8041 N Mesa St., near Doniphan Drive.
The District Pub & Kitchen
A destination for big soccer matches, one of the closest bars to UTEP also goes all out for major sports events at 3233 N Mesa St., Suite 103.
Timmy'z
Known for its taco rolls, the East Side establishment is located at 1550 Lomaland Drive.
Border City Ale House
For those who don't want to watch the halftime show, this East Side joint has shuffleboard and pool tables at 1506 Lee Trevino Drive.
Fanatics Sports Bar & Grill
The locally-owned East Side establishment is in the Vista Hill Shopping Center at 11040 Montwood Drive
Wing Daddy's Sauce House
This chain originated in El Paso and has locations all over town, as well as in Juárez. They are famous for their wings, which are a hot item during the Super Bowl. Locations at 7500 N Mesa St. #310, 700 N. Zaragoza Road, 2021 Yandell Drive, 12115 Montwood Drive, 1461 Lee Trevino Drive, 11100 Sean Haggerty Drive, Building C, 12302 Montana Ave., Ste. 301, 1201 Airway Blvd., 4860 Woodrow Bean Transmountain (Canutillo).
