Lakers' Luka Doncic has Knicks fans dreaming with 4-word message

The superstar had some interesting words.

The New York Knicks are set for another season of title contention, but a bigger prize could be awaiting.

Over the past few weeks, the Knicks have made some small moves to their roster in an attempt to put themselves in a better position for next season. Already sitting among the top teams in the Eastern Conference, the Knicks have a chance to truly compete for a championship next season.

With New York set to compete for an NBA title next season, it might not feel the need to make any significant changes. However, if the team falls short, there’s a chance that the Knicks could make a huge move in free agency next summer.

Currently on a tour for Jordan Brand, Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic could become a free agent next season. Doncic has a player option for the 2026-27 season, so if he declines that, he could be looking for a new team next year.

Recently, Doncic joined the Yankees’ broadcast while he was in New York, and he gave fans in the city some hope about what his future might hold when he was asked about the Knicks.

“I like the Knicks,” Doncic said. “I like my guy [Jalen Brunson], so you know that, I’ll always cheer for him.”

Doncic and Brunson formed a stellar backcourt duo during their time together in Dallas, but Brunson never truly flourished until arriving in New York. Although it seems unlikely, a pairing of Doncic and Brunson as the players they are now could vault the Knicks to clear title favorites in the future.
