The nation's No. 11 Wasatch Academy has now won 11 straight games dating back to their previous loss on December 18 to Florida's Central Pointe Christian Academy.

A series of close calls over the past week finally ended in disaster Friday for the No. 3 Brewster Academy National [Wolfeboro, NH] Bobcats.

It didn't help that the New Hampshire kingpins ran into a red-hot No. 11 Wasatch Academy as the Tigers from Utah took down the favorites, 62-51, at Long Island Lutheran's LuHi Invitational in Brookville, New York. Wasatch Academy (17-4) has now won 11 straight games dating back to a 60-50 loss to the Central Pointe Christian Academy [Kissimmee, FL] White Tigers on December 18.

Next up for Brewster Academy is a Saturday evening date with the host Crusaders set for a 5 p.m. EST tip. Long Island Lutheran will play the Christ School [Arden, NC] Greenies Friday night in their final tune-up before taking on the Bobcats.

No doubt, Brewster Academy will slip down the rankings when the latest edition of The Sporting News High School Boys Basketball Top 25 is released Tuesday. And Wasatch Academy is poised to finally crack the Top 10, barring any significant letdown in their Saturday game against Christ School.
