Is FC Bayern going to take a big swing this summer?
Arsenal, City, Chelsea all want Karl, too (TeamTalk)
On Wednesday, we learned that Real Madrid was keeping eye on Bayern Munich phenom Lennart Karl, but the Spanish power is not alone. Arsenal, Manchester City, and Chelsea are all keeping close tabs on the 17-year-old:
Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea are all showing interest in future Germany superstar Lennart Karl, according to a report, and the Bayern Munich ace already knows which club he wants to join.
Karl is the most valuable 17-year-old in the world, having made his senior debut for Bayern at the Club World Cup in June. The attacking midfielder is enjoying a breakout campaign at Bayern and has notched seven goals and three assists in 28 appearances so far.
Despite interest from some of England’s most illustrious clubs, Real Madrid are considered frontrunners in the pursuit of Karl.
Karl’s first half performance has clearly caught the attention of Europe. This will not be uncommon if he continues to excel. Right now, the youngster has hit a wall of sorts, which could cause some of this interest to fade, but if he sparks back up, you know clubs like this will be waiting to see if they can lure him away.
As was said in The Wire…“It’s all in the game.”
Could Vušković push for a move to Bayern? (Yahoo’s Ramon Vega)
Ex-Tottenham Hotspur player and current Yahoo Sports Ambassador Ramon Vega expects his former club to lose one of its top talents — Luka Vušković — to Bayern Munich in the summer:
This player is not coming back to Spurs! Another of many players the Spurs had a chance with, but they made the wrong decision. This is an example of the problem Spurs have been having within the football department! A total neglect. They will make good money, for sure, but there’s no football direction within the club. Off to Bayern he goes no wonder I will not blame him.
It seems unlikely that things would go that easily for Bayern Munich if it attempts to get Vušković during the summer transfer window. It remains to be seen what kind of appetite Bayern Munich might have to spend a lot for a young player this summer, but it has been widely reported that the Bavarians are interested in the Croatian.
In addition to Bayern Munich’s willingness to spend being in question, Tottenham would likely want an absolute boatload of money for Vušković.
While a longshot, it sure would be awesome.
Sterling to Napoli? (ESPN)
Free agent Raheem Sterling could land at Napoli:
Talks are underway between Napoli and Raheem Sterling with the free agent winger keen to reunite with good friend and former Manchester City teammate Kevin De Bruyne, according to The Sun. The 31-year-old had his Chelsea contract terminated by mutual consent last week and is willing to take a wage reduction to secure a move abroad and rejuvenate his career. Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna has already mentioned Sterling’s “significant financial expectations” and a loan attempt fell through last summer due to that same issue, but a deal could now be possible on lowered terms.

Rashford spurning return to United (ESPN)
Marcus Rashford has no intention of going back to Manchester United:
Marcus Rashford has no intention of returning to Manchester United when his loan spell at Barcelona expires this summer, according to The Mirror. The Blaugrana have an option to permanently sign him for €30 million, and the 28-year-old wants his future sorted before the 2026 World Cup begins. United interim head coach Michael Carrick would try to persuade the Red Devils academy graduate to stay if he becomes the permanent head coach, but Rashford has already told Barca that he wants to stay at Camp Nou and would find another club instead of returning to Old Trafford if an agreement isn’t reached.
Juve target Kolo Muani for summer (ESPN)
Juventus is not giving up its pursuit of long-term transfer target Randal Kolo Muani:
Juventus will make a move to sign Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer after the striker stayed on loan at Tottenham Hotspur this January, as reported by Calciomercato. Juve tried until the very end of the transfer window to bring back the 27-year-old, who also wanted a return to the Serie A giants, but Spurs insisted on keeping the France international as they couldn’t find an affordable alternative. It will take at least €50 million to sign him permanently, but Juve will need to seal a departure for Loïs Openda to meet that figure.
