It appears one of Matt Campbell’s most promising assistants will be departing Penn State before coaching his first game with the Nittany Lions. Wide receivers coach Noah Pauley is reportedly being hired to join the Green Bay Packers, according to Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports.
Pauley was regarded as a rising star in the coaching ranks thanks to his track record under Campbell at Iowa State. The Cyclones were able to continually develop highly productive receivers, with two being drafted in 2025. Jayden Higgins was drafted early in the second round by the Texans, with Jaylin Noel joining him in Houston as a third round pick. Noel entered Iowa State as a three-star prospect, while Higgins did not have any stars when he originally committed to Central Michigan before transferring to the Cyclones.
Pauley also served as Iowa State’s passing game coordinator over the last two seasons.
Penn State will now be in need of a new wide receivers coach to attempt to resurrect a position group that has underperformed for the past three seasons.
