Northwestern hates fun, CU won’t play in Ryan Field

I was so excited. I was working on my accent. My mustache. My cured meat tolerance. I was reading Devil in the White City. I was going to pretend to care about baseball again. Then they took it all away. The Northwestern Wildcats snatched hope and excitement directly from my mind. This is all payback for Gary Barnett, I guess.

The Wildcats have put serious cash into their program for the first time, well, ever. As a part of that, they had a stadium-sized spaceship constructed near Lake Michigan, which would have been great to see.

Well, guess what. They screwed it up.

I don’t know why I’m so overtly hostile to Northwestern right now, but I do know that I was looking forward to this beautiful stadium. It’ll be fun in its own way, seeing CU play at a 15,000 seat rinky-dink stadium instead. However, it’ll now be much more expensive to get tickets to this game. Also, the atmosphere won’t be nearly as exciting.

Who else is still going to Chicago?
