Csiki spent the fall at West Ham, and is now headed to Italy.
This was referenced briefly in the done and dusted summary article but the announcement only came through in the last half hour — Tottenham Women have announced that Hungary international midfielder Anna Csiki has left the club for AS Roma on loan to the end of the season.
Csiki joined Spurs in the summer of 2024 from Hacken under then-manager Robert Villahamn and made 13 appearances for Spurs in her first season. She spent the first half of the season on loan at West Ham where she made five appearances; now she’s heading to Italy. I’m not sure why her loan at West Ham was terminated, except for the fact that she only played 153 minutes for a team currently in 11th place in the table and a threat for relegation.
Seems pretty clear from these loan moves that Csiki is not in Martin Ho’s plans, at least not initially. She signed on a pretty substantial four year contract, which is pretty unusual in the WSL, so this might be a move to see if she can attract transfer interest from Roma or another club.
Good luck, Anna!
