Fiorentina are working on the acquisition of a new full-back and have reportedly made an attempt to sign Aston Villa’s Kosta Nedeljkovic.
In the first half of the season, the 20-year-old Serbian international has been on loan at RB Leipzig, making six appearances across the Bundesliga and DFB Pokal. With this loan running until the end of the season, a permanent transfer could be difficult to complete.
If the Nedeljkovic dream dies, Cagliari’s Gabriele Zappa still remains a key target for Paolo Vanoli’s side. The 26-year-old would be a valuable addition to defensive reinforcements that already include Daniele Rugani from Juventus. Rugani is expected to complete his medical today.
That said, Zappa has also attracted interest from Napoli, as they search for a replacement for the injured Giovanni Di Lorenzo.
