BROOKINGS, S.D. (KELO) — The SDSU men rolled past Oral Roberts 95-72 Saturday afternoon. The Jackrabbits exploded for 58 points in the first half on 65% shooting.
They hit 8 of their 13 3-point attempts in the opening half and finished 57% from deep for the game.
“We did a nice job of not letting the ball stick,” SDSU head coach Bryan Petersen said. “Honestly, we really sprinted the floor. I thought our spacing was good. I thought we had a nice balance of breaking their shell and playing some inside-out basketball. And then we made some shots. Let’s just straight up say it too, we saw the ball go in the basket.”
Joe Sayler and Jaden Jackson led five players in double figures with 24 points apiece as the Jacks improve to 4-4 in Summit League play.
“We’re kind of been on little ups and downs, and the big thing we talk about just holding each other accountable, staying consistent,” Sayler said. “We had a few good days of prep to get ready for this one. When we have, when we’re locked in, we can do some good things. So, I think that’s all it was. We were ready to go from the jump.”
SDSU hosts St. Thomas Wednesday before welcoming in USD on Saturday.
