Yeah, I'd enjoy a luxury trip to a beach during winter too.
There seems to be more and more football every year. New competitions seem to be invented, more games are squeezed out of existing competitions and even the Bundesliga’s winter break has been reduced over the years. But it still exists and gives footballers in Germany a chance to spend Christmas with their family, standing at a stark contrast to the Premier League that simply loves the tradition of playing games on Boxing Day.
As someone who has now experienced both leagues, Bayern Munich footballer Harry Kane addressed the topic of the winter break. And the former Tottenham Hotspur player really likes it.
“The winter break is great for mental recovery. We’ve had a lot of games and we’ve very successful, so it’s great to take a breather and recharge,” Kane said, as captured by @iMiaSanMia. “I had a great time with my family and played some golf. You don’t get that in the Premier League; you play straight through, so this is a nice thing.”
Golf, he says? Perhaps he could join a certain ThoMats duo in a future endeavor.
