Jacen Russell-Rowe (23) is set to join Toulouse FC before the closure of the transfer window, as per a report from L’Équipe.
The Canada international (seven caps) currently plays for Columbus Crew, but is set to leave the MLS side before Monday’s transfer deadline and join Le TéFéCé, who have an outside chance of competing for the European places in the second half of the Ligue 1 season.
The deal is estimated to be worth around €2.5m without bonuses. The centre-forward had been keen to make the move to Europe this month in order to further his chances of participating in this summer’s FIFA World Cup, which will take place in his native Canada, as well as in the USA and Mexico.
Russell-Rowe’s deal with Colombus Crew, for whom he has played since 2022, was up at the end of the season. His arrival could be in preparation for the departure of Frank Magri, who is expected to leave Toulouse upon the expiry of his deal in the summer.
