White Pigeon's Ty Strawser voted Boys Basketball Midseason Player of the Year

White Pigeon's Ty Strawser, who has made more than 200 career 3-pointers, wins midseason honor

WHITE PIGEON — White Pigeon senior Ty Strawser has been voted as the Journal's Midseason Boys Basketball Player of the Year.

Strawser, the main sharp-shooter for the Chiefs, most recently scored 36 points for the Chiefs on Thursday evening. He's connected for more than 200 career 3-pointers during his time at the varsity level.

There were 22,663 votes cast for the midseason player of the year honor. Strawser dominated the voting process, collecting 15,061 of those votes for a 66.46 percent rate. Layne Arver of Bronson was second in voting this year with 3,414 (15.06 percent) and Braxton Boyles of Burr Oak was second with 2,173 votes (9.59 percent).

Ty Strawser of White Pigeon was voted as the Midseason Boys Player of the Year.
