Reece James has insisted Cole Palmer is committed to Chelsea, but has urged people to be patient with the attacker.
Palmer came off the bench and provided two assists in the 3-2 win against Napoli on Wednesday night, which was arguably his best performance since returning from injury in December.
The 23-year-old missed virtually the entire first half of the season with a groin injury, and one of Liam Rosenior’s biggest tasks is getting him back to his best.
Reece James insists Cole Palmer is committed to Chelsea
Palmer has recently been linked with a move to Manchester United, but it’s understood those rumours are very much wide of the mark.
It’s been reported Palmer is considered “untouchable” at Chelsea, along with the like of James and Moises Caicedo.

Rosenior has revealed he’s had several conversations with Palmer, and the England international is thought to be happy at Chelsea.
Speaking after the win against Napoli, James insisted his team-mate was very much committed to the club, and insisted speculation was normal.
“Of course he’s committed to Chelsea. He’s a Chelsea player,” he said as quoted by BBC Sport.
“Many players have speculation in transfer windows. It’s normal.
“He’s conducted himself really well. We’re super happy with him.”
James calls for patience with Chelsea star
James also called for patience with Palmer given how his season has been disrupted by a chronic groin issue.
“He’s been in a difficult period and had a few setbacks,” he added.

“It’s been slow for him this season, but he showed what he can do in the 45 minutes he played.
“Everyone needs to stay patient with him. He’s an amazing player. He’s still super young and he’s going to improve with time.”
Palmer started on the bench against Napoli, but could be in line to return to the starting line-up for Saturday’s game at Stamford Bridge against West Ham.
