NBA superstar Steph Curry’s wife, Ayesha Curry, sent a heartwarming message of support to WNBA rising star Cameron Brink, who is recovering from a major knee injury.

Brink, a Los Angeles Sparks forward, shared an update on Instagram this week that quickly caught the attention of fans and family. The post included several photos showing moments from her time away from the court. In the final slide, a video revealed Brink hard at work in rehab, training her injured leg and knee.

“Proof of life," Brink wrote in the caption.

Among the replies was a short and sweet comment from Ayesha Curry.

“She was a fairy yup yup,” she said.

Brink is not just any rising athlete to the Curry family — she is Steph Curry’s godsister. Their families have been deeply connected since their parents' college days at Virginia Tech.

Steph Curry’s mother, Sonya Curry, and Brink’s mom, Michelle Bain-Brink, were college roommates, while their fathers, Dell Curry and Greg Brink, played together on the basketball team.

Brink has not played since June 2024, when she tore her ACL and meniscus during a game against the Connecticut Sun. After surgery and months of recovery, her recent Instagram activity, combined with an updated injury report listing her as “doubtful” instead of “out,” is giving fans hope that she may return soon.

Despite being sidelined, Brink has remained a visible and stylish presence at games. Most recently, she turned heads by showing up to a Sparks game wearing a blue button-up shirt, white mini skirt, and matching accessories — a look that she included in her recent post.

The Sparks, currently 10–14 and outside playoff position, could benefit greatly from her return. However, there’s still no confirmed date for her comeback, though fans now have more reason to believe it’s getting closer.
