2026 Michigan Football Schedule Revealed

Michigan football fans can officially start circling dates on the calendar. The Wolverines released their full 2026 schedule on Tuesday, and it sets up as a fascinating season with a heavy home-game slate and some massive late-season road tests.

First-year head coach Kyle Whittingham will open his Michigan tenure with just four true road games, as the Wolverines are set to travel to Minnesota, Rutgers, Oregon, and Ohio State. The rest of the schedule will be played in the friendly confines of the Big House, giving U-M one of the more favorable home-road splits in the Big Ten.

While kickoff times and TV assignments have not yet been announced, one tradition is expected to hold strong: The Game in Columbus against Ohio State is widely anticipated to remain a noon kickoff.

The early portion of the season features a huge non-conference showdown when Oklahoma comes to Ann Arbor in Week 2, followed by a physical Big Ten test against Iowa. After a road trip to Minnesota and a bye week, the Wolverines hit a brutal mid-season stretch with Penn State, Michigan State, and a late trip to Oregon before closing the year in Columbus.

For a program entering a new era under Whittingham, the schedule provides a strong mix of home comfort and high-stakes road challenges. If Michigan is going to make a serious playoff push in 2026, it will likely be decided during that November gauntlet of Michigan State, Oregon, and Ohio State.
