SALLEY, SC (WBTW) – South Florence native and South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers has high expectations heading into his second year as the starter. Before the year officially begins, Sellers, along with other Gamecock players, took time to visit with fans in the state.
On Sunday, Sellers and teammates met with fans at the Eudora Wildlife Safari Park in Salley, SC. Sellers had the chance to hand out his very own, brand new, action figure to those in attendance. This was a chance for youth in the area to meet with players, grab a few autographs and pictures, all while seeing animals at the park.
Sellers, who is a preseason candidate for the Heisman award, spoke about his personal action figure and what it’s like meeting with kids who look up to him for inspiration.
“Yeah, I mean, I guess it just gives them hope,” Sellers said. “I know, me growing up, just having players posters and stuff like that just gave me hope just looking at every one when I woke up. So, I mean, just seeing the action figure is good for them. I know that I was one of these kids growing up. Just to make their day, I mean, makes my day as well.”
