Evan Ferguson’s adventure at Roma never really took off.
The Irish striker has alternated between good and less convincing performances, and with the arrival of Malen and Vaz, his future in the capital appears uncertain.
According to Il Resto del Carlino, Bologna is interested in the player and ready to make a move in the final days of the transfer window.
However, to proceed with the deal, the Rossoblu club will first have to release one of Immobile and Dallinga.
At the moment, Ferguson hasn’t expressed any desire to leave Trigoria, and Roma, despite the player’s inconsistent performances, don’t appear willing to part with him in January, also due to their lack of offensive depth.
Roma sporting director Frederic Massara stated on January 18th: “He’s growing a lot. He arrived after a season in which he played little, and lately he’s been showing all his qualities, giving us a great hand. It’s a shame he got injured, but we’re counting on him.”
These words seem to quell rumors of his possible departure, although a transfer remains a possibility.
This season, the Irish striker has made 22 appearances between Serie A and the Europa League, scoring five goals and two assists.
