'Did it for Harambe' Sun Devils' Twitter reacts to win vs UC Bearcats

Arizona State students wore "forks up for Harambe" shirts for the Sun Devils' win against the Cincinnati Bearcats.

The official Twitter/X account of the Arizona State Sun Devils reacted to the men's basketball team's win Jan. 24 against the Cincinnati Bearcatswith a photo of the Sun Devils' mascot wearing a "forks up for Harambe" shirt, standing next to a gorilla in an Arizona State "Harambe" jersey, with the text, "Did it for Harambe."

Many ASU fans in the student section wore the shirts for the game, which the Sun Devils won by 14.

In 2025, Topps shared a 1-of-1, Bryce Harper 2024 Topps Tier One baseball card with his "RIP Harambe" game-used bat knob.

The Philadelphia Phillies' first baseman started paying tribute to the late Cincinnati Zoo gorilla in 2016, when the 17-year-old western lowland gorilla was killed at Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden. Harper played for the Washington Nationals at the time.
