The Boston Red Sox are predicted to ship off their favorite prospect, Jhostynxon Garcia, at the MLB trade deadline.

The Boston Red Sox have a crowded outfield, so much so that Jarren Duran is up for trade. With the deadline less than a week away, the Red Sox trading from their outfield wouldn't be a surprise.
But, it might not just be from the MLB roster. The Red Sox could look to ship off outfield prospects in their minor league system.
Jen McCaffrey in The Athletic predicts that Boston will do just that, and trade fan-favorite prospect Jhostynxon Garcia at the trade deadline.
"The Red Sox may trade from their big league core, but have said they'd prefer not to." McCaffrey writes, "Garcia is a top-5 prospect in the system, hitting close to .300 with a .900 OPS in Triple A. There's little room for him in the majors, but he could be part of a bugger package to acquire a pitcher at the deadline."
With Boston looking to add a starter and plenty of expensive starters up for grabs, the Red Sox could use Garcia as a centerpiece in a trade to bring in such a high-profile starter.
Miami Marlins' Sandy Alcantara and Edward Cabrera, Pittsburgh Pirates Mitch Keller, or maybe Minnesota Twins Joe Ryan could all be options that Garcia could help land.
For all of those starters, the Red Sox would likely need to add more than just Garcia, but he could help boost their offer to get it across the finish line.
He's been incredible in the minors in Triple-A this season, hitting 11 home runs in 46 games. The 22-year-old prospect has been great in the minors and could make his MLB debut soon.
But, in Boston, it's unlikely thanks to a crowded outfield. Roman Anthony, Wilyer Abreu, Ceddane Rafaela, Rob Refsnyder, Masataka Yoshida, and Duran make up one of the best outfields in baseball.
Garcia doesn't have a spot on the big league roster, which could lead him to being involved in a trade for a starting pitcher.
McCaffrey predicts that Garcia, if she had to choose one player who'd be on a new team after the deadline will be traded by the end of July.
His path to the Majors in Boston's system isn't clear, and he'd provide more value in a trade for a high-quality starting pitcher.
