As fog and firework smoke grew denser following the 10 PM fireworks show, the Rolex 24 Hour entered its night shift Saturday evening. With an FCY for visibility shortly after the low fireworks show, the two Porsche Penske Motorsports entries stayed at the top of the field with the No. 7 leading without damage and the No. 6 battling back from their floor and sidepod damage in the opening two hours.

In the 10th hour, a huge moment happened for the No. 93 Acura ARX-06 while reigning IndyCar champion Alex Palou was at the wheel and had to avoid the LMP2 entry of Pratt Miller Motorsports. Palou went to the pits shortly after, and when Kaku Ohta took over the front-left wheel, it shredded, forcing the leading Acura to limp back to the pits.
