Real Betis’ Ricardo Rodriguez (33) has been offered to OGC Nice, according to a report from Foot Mercato.
Rodriguez remains a regular for the La Liga side, however, amid financial difficulties, they are open to selling the Swiss international, who is also on a high wage and only has six months remaining on his current contract. As a result of the global situation, Real Betis are not asking for a high fee for the defender. His valuation sits between €1-2m.
Rodriguez has been offered to several clubs in Ligue 1, including Nice, Foot Mercato understands. The former Wolfsburg, Torino, and AC Milan left-back would be open to a move to Ligue 1 this month as he looks to get the game time necessary to secure his place in the Switzerland squad, ahead of this summer’s FIFA World Cup.
It remains to be seen whether Nice are receptive to the idea of the Swiss international joining before the closure of the transfer window.
