Transfer insider Mark Brus has raised the possibility of a major move for Chelsea in the summer, with the Blues apparently joining the growing list of teams hoping to steal wonderkid Arda Guler away from a struggling Real Madrid.
It’s made very clear that “The challenge would be persuading the player, who is not currently looking to leave Real Madrid.” Despite their struggles this season, it’s where the Turkey international has always wanted to be, and he shows no signs of being desperate to leave.
That could all change however, especially when Los Blancos appoint a successor to Xabi Alonso. If the new man wants to shape the squad in his image, selling Guler could be a smart way of raising funds to do just that. That could open the door.

“A few sources also informed me that Chelsea have had some contact over signing Guler, with the Blues ‘checking in’ with the player and his representatives several times in recent months,” Brus writes.
“‘It’s not one for January, for sure, but let’s see in the summer – Real would probably have to have a serious think about it for €90-100m,’ another source told me.”
That sort of price tag would likely rule Chelsea out. The days of spending £100m on Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez are long gone. Tragically, the only way we see us signing Guler would be if Cole Palmer leaves for big money.

Liam Delap has claimed that his love of yellows cards is not going to change anytime soon, something that will frustrate fans who have watched him mess up a few times this season.
Delap also spoke to the club’s official website, where he was happy to claim that his team were ready to win the Champions League, and that he was ready to step into the shoes of great strikers before him to win it.
