The Sacramento Kings have been active this offseason as they try to upgrade their roster and make a push for a playoff spot next season.

Of course, many around the NBA thought that the Kings would begin a rebuild this summer after trading De’Aaron Fox at last season’s trade deadline and with DeMar DeRozan and Domantas Sabonis’ futures in question.

Despite this, the Kings have instead elected to go all in as they signed Dennis Schroder in free agency and added Nique Clifford and Maxime Raynaud during the NBA draft.

More moves could be coming for the Kings as they have been linked to other veteran point guards and also a young forward from the Golden State Warriors.

That young forward is restricted free agent Jonathan Kuminga and ClutchPoints’ Brett Siegel revealed Sacramento’s trade offer for him on Thursday.

“The Kings have signaled that they are willing to part ways with talents like Devin Carter, Dario Saric, and a protected first-round pick for the Warriors' forward,” Siegel wrote. “This is a proposal that Golden State has not given any thought to and immediately turned down. Malik Monk is another name who has come up in trade talks from Sacramento this offseason, but his contract isn't one that the Dubs have expressed interest in.”

From Siegel’s report, it is clear that if the Kings want to land Kuminga this offseason then they are going to have to increase their offer of Carter, Saric and a protected first-round pick.

Siegel did mention later in his report that the Warriors would likely target one of either Keegan Murray or Keon Ellis in a potential package for Kuminga but the Kings have shown no interest in trading them.

Due to this, the Kings may be out of luck if they are unwilling to include either player in a potential package for Kuminga or if the Warriors never lower their asking price for him.
