Bayern Munich star Konrad Laimer talks about what stage of his career he is in right now

Laimer at 28, “I feel great and I feel I have many, many years left in me.”

Bayern Munich’s Konrad Laimer spoke to the Bundesliga’s website in a recent interview. As part of the interview, he was asked what phase of his career he was in right now — both on the pitch and and from a personal perspective. @MiaSanMia recorded what he had to say to the league.

The Austrian international talked about getting older and what he has experienced. He responded with, “It’s always a bit tougher at a certain age. I’m 28, I’ve already experienced a fair bit. I’ve already played quite a few games and, yes, time always seems to pass so quickly. I actually still feel very young. You do notice that you’re a bit older, but it’s fun. I feel great and I feel I have many, many years left in me.”

Laimer went on to talk about he can do to continue to play. “The most important thing is to look after your body. That’s a good thing when you’ve been playing football for a few years. I know what suits me, I know what doesn’t suit me. I know what I need, even during long weeks with tough games, to perform at 100 percent. At the moment, everything feels really, really good.”

Laimer has a lot to look forward to at the moment. Bayern is clicking in all three competitions while Austria is prepping for a tough World Cup group. While Argentina will be the toughest, Argentina will have a great chance to move on to the knockout rounds. Laimer has a chance to be a pivotal part of both team’s successes.
