Vinicius Jr. was one of the players most loudly booed by the crowd at the Santiago Bernabeu yesterday, and he has not taken it well.
While several players were targeted and specifically jeered at by the crowd, the Brazilian was one of the most affected of them. After all, it is not the first-time that he has been booed at the team’s home stadium.
Needless to say, the newfound rift between Vinicius and the fanbase is concerning to the board and may even possibly complicate his renewal at the club.

Now, as confirmed by El Periodico in a recent report, Vinicius does not understand why he was singled out as the scapegoat for the defeat against Albacete when many of his teammates were relatively given lesser punishments.
He was, after all, one of the players who willingly went on the trip to help the team out, as opposed to many of his teammates who took the opportunity to rest. Needless to say, he feels hard done by to be blamed for a game where he took responsibility.
The outlet also adds that the player has hinted to his entourage of possibly wanting to leave the club because he no longer feels loved in Madrid.
“I don’t want to play in a place where they don’t want me,” he has reportedly told his close circle.
With every passing day, the relationship between Real Madrid’s fans and Vinicius is moving towards an irreparable stage and his departure does not appear impossible any longer.
His future is completely in his hands, as is his winning back the fans’ favour through his performances. The question, however, is whether the bond is already damaged too far to be repaired.
