Eintracht Frankfurt have dismissed coach Dino Toppmöller, broadcaster Sky and the Bild newspaper reported on Sunday.

The Bundesliga club is yet to release a statement.

After Frankfurt snatched a stoppage time 3-3 draw at Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga on Friday, sporting director Markus Krösche reportedly held a meeting with the main committee of the supervisory board to discuss Toppmöller's future.

Toppmöller arrived in Frankfurt in the summer of 2023 and took over as head coach from Oliver Glasner, with whom Frankfurt won the Europa League in 2022.

Last season, Toppmöller led the team to their first-ever qualification Champions League with an attractive style of attacking football.

However, in the current season, the team has failed to build on its performances from the previous season.

Above all, Toppmöller has been unable to solve the team's defensive problems: in 18 league games, Frankfurt have already conceded 39 goals.

And with only one win from their last seven league games, Frankfurt, in seventh spot, are also in danger of losing sight of the European places.
