Stade Rennais forward Mohamed Kader Meité (18) is “hesitant” to accept an offer from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal, according to a report from Foot Mercato.
The Saudi Pro League initially turned to signing big stars, but they are increasingly attentive to bringing in bright prospects, particularly from France. Over the summer, Saimon Bouabré, one of AS Monaco’s brightest prospects, Nathan Zézé, the great hope of the FC Nantes defence, and Stade de Reims’ Valentin Atangana all made the move to the Gulf State over the summer.
An approach has now been made for Meité. Al-Hilal’s offer is worth €40m, Foot Mercato understands. The Breton club’s stance on a sale is not yet clear, but the player is uncertain of the move. The centre-forward is “hesitant” to accept and is currently considering his future.
There are other interested parties, too, including a big Premier League club, as per a report from L’Équipe.
