FARRELL, Pa. (WKBN) – Hickory boys basketball beat Farrell 49-46 on a buzzer-beater three-point shot by Ashton Boal at Farrell High School Friday night.
“I can’t explain it right now, I’m speechless for sure,” said Boal.

“The senior, knocked it down,” said Hickory head coach Chris Mele. “What a moment, this will be one we won’t forget for a long time.”
Boal finished with a game-high 16 points in the dramatic victory. Also, Trevor Borowicz scored 14 and Kyler Slevin 12 in the rivalry win.
“I saw the ball go up, come to me and just had to let it fly,” said Boal. “I had to hit it. I had to. I just had to get hot.”
Farrell’s Malcolm Norman scored a team-high 14 points in the loss. Dorean Cain also scored 10 points in the defeat.
Farrell drops to 4-6 on the season. Hickory advances to 10-1.
Next, Farrell plays Moon Area on Saturday, Jan. 17. Hickory goes up against Meadville also on Saturday.
