Red Bull Racing's First Ford-Era Livery Still Looks Like a Red Bull Livery

One of Formula 1's signature looks continues on for yet another year, although Ford's iconic blue oval now appears on the nose and engine cover.

2026 marks the start of a high-profile alliance between Ford and Red Bull Powertrains, a major shift for one of the most successful teams in Formula 1. The new partnership means that Red Bull is operating without at least the remnants of the work from an established powertrain manufacturer for the first time since the team was founded, a challenge that is requiring close work with the American automaker. Those are big changes, but the team's 2026 car should still look very familiar to F1 fans.

The new livery, revealed in Detroit on Thursday, continues a long tradition of primarily blue Red Bull entries with yellow accents on the nose and airbox. The usual bull logos in a signature red sit behind both yellow accents, too. The balance between black and red in the main livery may be different, but the basic design is the same as it has been for the entirety of the Red Bull team's existence.

Ford's part comes on the nose and the bottom-back section of the airbox, two spots where manufacturer branding would typically be found on a Red Bull with previous customer engines. Oracle, the current title partner of Red Bull Racing, takes precedence over Ford in the prime real estate along the car's sidepods.

Branding for Visa Cash App Racing Bulls, the brand's second team that historically served as a junior program, was also revealed Thursday. As it generally has since its first rebranding to Scuderia AlphaTauri, the "VCARB" entry stands out from the senior team with a more unique take on the Red Bull livery defined by blocks of white and blue.

All four Red Bull-backed, Ford-partnered cars will make their debut at the Australian Grand Prix in March. It will mark the first race for a major new rule set that includes updated powertrain regulations, the first race for Red Bull's new Ford-aligned powertrain program, and the first race for new factory teams from both Audi and Cadillac.
