High school football season is fast approaching.
In the meantime, several South Shore and Brockton-area programs have taken the field in 7-on-7 leagues and tournaments this summer before the official 'Road to Gillette' for the MIAA Div. 1-8 Super Bowls gets underway in less than one month.
Here are all of the key dates for the 2025 high school football season, from opening day of training camp to the playoffs:

First day of practice - Friday, August 15.
Week 1 - Friday, September 5.
First round of playoffs - Friday, November 7.
Quarterfinals - Friday, November 14.
Semifinals - Friday, November 21.
Thanksgiving - Thursday, Nov. 27.
MIAA Div. 1-8 Super Bowls - Week of Nov. 30.
