WACO, Texas (FOX 44) — A depleted Baylor football roster is starting to look much like Scott Drew’s team heading into next season, with starters across the board leaving from graduation or entering the portal.

Baylor place kicker Connor Hawkins added to that total on Wednesday, announcing that he’s entering the transfer portal following a standout freshman campaign in the Green and Gold.

Turns out Hawkins already had an idea as to what his future held, committing to play for Ohio State next season on Wednesday evening.

Hawkins made all 37 PAT’s and nailed 18 of 22 field goals, including game winners against SMU and Kansas State with a long of 54 on the season, breaking the McLane Stadium program record.
