FC Bayern Women will return to the Allianz Arena for the third time this season when they play the home leg of their UEFA Women’s Champions League quarter-final tie in early April. The opponent will be the winner of the knockout play-off between Manchester United and Atlético Madrid.
The Munich Frauen have previously played on the city’s biggest stage in the opening game of the Bundesliga season, which set a domestic attendance record in September with a 2-0 victory over Bayer Leverkusen, plus the thrilling 3-2 win over holders Arsenal in the Champions League in November.
Tickets available to reserve
The match will be played on either 1 or 2 April. Tickets for the best seats in the various categories can be requested now via the online shop. The exact seats and allocation will be determined once the date and opponent are confirmed.
Harder: “Already had incredible moments at the Allianz Arena this season”
Pernille Harder, who scored in the comeback victory against Arsenal, is excited about returning to the big stage once again. “We’ve already had some incredible moments at the Allianz Arena this season, so we’re really looking forward to getting to play there for a third time in the Champions League quarter-finals. There were over 57,000 fans who pushed us against Leverkusen – a record and an unforgettable day. And with Arsenal it was the drama that everyone remembers like it was yesterday. We’ve got two wins at the Arena in front of great crowds in 2025/26. Hopefully we’ll make it three in two months against Atlético or Manchester United – and progress to the semi-finals. We’re excited about every fan who’s there that night cheering us on.”
Potential top opponents
United and Atlético will play the two legs of their knockout play-off on 12 and 19 February. The English club have been bolstered this winter by the signing of long-time Bayern striker Lea Schüller, who could face a quick return to Munich. Bayern have already faced the Madrid club this season, being held to a dramatic 2-2 draw in the league phase in Spain.
