It looks like we are going close to the finish line on the Kyle Tucker chase.
The Mets have made a “short-term’ offer to Tucker. Apparently, they have offered $50 million a season for three-years.
And the Blue Jays have made a longer term offer to him, but there are no details on their offer.
The Dodgers are still in on him, too and would likely be offering a short-term contract.
I don’t know what Tucker would be thinking, but I’ll be happy when he makes his choice, happier if the Jays get him.
Former Jays prospect Hagen Danner signed a minor league deal with the Reds. You likely remember that the Jays drafted him as a catcher. His bat didn’t progress the way they hoped, so they tried him on the mound. He pitched a third of an inning for the Jays in 2023. We DFAed him before the start of the 2025 season, and the Mariners claimed him. He pitched in Triple-A for them. with a 5.59, 54 strikeouts, 21 walks in 56.1 innings.
