🏀Game of the Night
East Providence 76, Moses Brown 69
Four quarters weren't enough to settle this crossover boys basketball clash after East Providence's Robbie Mason made a layup at the end of regulation to send the game to overtime. His layup capped an 20-point fourth quarter that saw the Division I Townies battle back from 11-point halftime deficit.
The first half belonged to the Division II Quakers, as Ra'Jhon Jones scored 18 of his game-high 33 points in the early going. But the Division I Townies clamped down on defense after the break and stepped up their scoring to stage the comeback.
Isaac Rodriguez scored a team-best 23 points for EP, Jayden Vaz added 16 and Giovanni Daluz had 14 in the win. For the Quakers, Collin Mburu added 27 points in the loss.
🏀BOYS BASKETBALL - Division I
Lincoln 52, Classical 40
The Lions roared out of the gates, scoring 23 points in the opening quarter, en route to a 10-point lead at the break. Gianni Pagios led the way with a game-high 23 points in the win, with 14 coming in the second half. Brian Gugel added 8 in the win.
The Purple, who went 6-for-7 from the foul line, were led by Eliezer Delbrey's 19 points (he was 5-5 at the stripe), and Mohammed Fadia added 11 in the loss.
Tolman 87, Johnston 71
Jaliel Ramsdell led Tolman with 23 points and he also pulled down 6 boards in the Tigers win. Also contributing to the win were Nathan Dias, who added 16 including a pair of three pointers, and JC Ruiz who was god for 12 points and 7 rebounds.
Ronnie Vento led Johnston with 21 points, followed by Chris Cherry and Jordan Diclo with 19 and 16 points, respectively.
Shea 82, Cranston East 55
Ten players found the basket for the Raiders, who were too much for the Thunderbolts to handle in this Division I clash.
Isaac Ibidapo netted a game-high 20 points, Jaydeion Morrobel had 13 and Eli Ibidapo added 10 as Shea won handily.
For Cranston East, Alexander Fernandez scored a team-high 17 points, and Maison Gonzalez had 12 in the loss.
Westerly 66, South Kingstown 50
Mikey Joyce buried five 3-pointers to lead the way with a team-high 17 points for the Division I Bulldogs. Luigi Marchionne recorded 14 points and 12 rebounds for his third straight double-double, Brayden Antoch had 12 points, 5 assists and 8 rebounds and Caleb Williams added 9 points and 9 rebounds.
James Wilson scored a game-high 25 points for the Division II Rebels and Jack Simonini had 11 points in the loss.
Shea 82, Cranston East 55
Ten players found the basket for the Raiders, who were too much for the Thunderbolts to handle in this Division I clash.

Portsmouth 50, North Kingstown 29
With his 14 points, the Patriots' Adam Conheeny was recognized for becoming the all-time leader scorer at Portsmouth High School in the victory over the Skippers. Jack Casey added 11 points in the Patriots' first home win of the season, as the hosts stepped up their defense to limit North Kingstown on the offensive end.
For the Skippers, Jake Perry had 10 points in the loss.
🏀BOYS BASKETBALL - Division II
Mt. Hope 71, North Providence 60
The Cougars' Jeremiah Lenus became the seventh member of North Providence's 1,000 club with his team-high 21 points, including his 8-point fourth quarter that led the Cougars' 24-point final frame.
But the Huskies matched that total in fourth, and scored 24 in the second, too, to earn the victory. Mt. Hope boasted four players in double-figures, led by John Adams and Jack Thomson, who each scored 16 points. Maleaq Roderick added 15 and Jacob Tamke had 12 in the win.
East Greenwich 47, Narragansett 45
The Avengers had a 7-point league entering the fourth quarter but had to hold of a Mariners run to escape with a victory. Aidan Glynn led the way as he scored 11 points, including 3 threes. Dante Desmarais had 10 points and both Jacoby Basler and Cole Bianco scored 7 points each.
Aidan Clancey topped the Mariners in scoring with 17 points, including 4 from beyond the arc, and teammate Derrick Lindsey followed him with a dozen points.
Chariho 64, Prout 61
The Division II Chargers used a big second quarter to take 6-point lead at the break, and withstood a strong second-half effort from the Division III Crusaders to earn the win.
Chariho's Dayton Lee led the way with a team-high 18 points, Evander Perez added 15, and Rohan Downing had 12 in the win.
For Prout, Ryan Antonucci netted a game-high 19 points and Mike Brugnoli added 17 in the loss.
Juanita Sanchez 73, Times2 72
Both offenses were firing on all cylinders in the cross-city showdown. Division II Juanita Sanchez opened the game with a 24-point first quarter to race out to a 10-point lead. Division III Times2 Academy answered with 23 points in the second and the two teams were separated by just 2 points at the break.
The Cavaliers opened the fourth quarter trailing by 5, but Geston Richardson and Amaree Gomes combined for 13 of the team's 18 points to earn the win.
Corey McLain led Juanita Sanchez with 20 points, Gomes had 16, Richardson added 15 and Allen Ortiz had 12 to pull off the victory.
Times2's Justin Urey led all scorers with 29 points, Lucas Cruz had 20 and Jayden Navarrete added 10 in the loss.
Cranston West 61, Burrillville-53
Diante Jackson scored early and often and dropped a team-high 24 points, including 11 in the fourth quarter, and was 2-for-2 at the foul line to lead the Falcons. Jake Anzivino tacked on 10 points, making a pair of treys. West took a 32-23 lead at the half and never let up as they pushed their record to 8-2.
For the Broncos (3-5), DylanKafalas scored 24 points of his own, including a pair of threes, and Jacob Chevrette added 10 points in the loss.
🏀BOYS BASKETBALL - Division III
North Smithfield 62, Scituate 58
The Northmen seemed to have this game well in hand after the first half, outscoring the Spartans 32-18 by the break. But Scituate had other plans, putting together a 40-point second half to make a game of it.
North Smithfield was led by Nate Tremblay's game-high 20 points – one of four players to reach double-digits in scoring for the Northmen – Tim Ferri added 14, Connor Reilly had 12 and Andrew Stark had 10 to ensure North's victory.
For Scituate, which also had four players in double-figures, Cam Healy led the team with 17, Ryan Larsh had 13, Justin Healy had 12 and Andres Ditson added 12 in the loss. Scituate at North Smithfield, 6 p.m.
Toll Gate 62, at Providence Country Day 44
Senior Damola Oremosu produced a double-double with a season-high 30 points on 14-for-18 shooting and he also pulled down 15 rebounds as the Titans rolled to victory.
After being held to just two points in the first half, the Knights leading scorer, Gabe Johnson, finished the game with 15 points, but it was to little to late. Teammate Maddox Fredericks was PCD’s leading scorer with 16 points in the loss.
Davies 60, Tiverton 39
The Patriots left little doubt in this Division III clash as Davies got off to a quick start and rolled on to victory. Four Davies players reached double-figures, led by Aiden Kearns with 19 points. EJ Baptiste added 18, Albert Medrano had 12 and Zion Rayside chipped in 10.
For Tiverton, Jace Kelly scored a game-high 21 points in the loss.
🏀GIRLS BASKETBALL - Division I
West Warwick 49, Juanita Sanchez 31
The Wizards and Cavaliers were separated by just 6 points when the halftime buzzer sounded, but despite a big second half by Anayjah Delves of Juanita Sanchez, West Warwick's offense was too much to handle.
The Wizards' Alexa Foley led all scorers with 20 points, pouring in 11 in the final quarter, and Brea Lima added 17 in the win. For the Cavaliers (0-5), Delves scored a team-high 17 points, with 13 coming after the break. With the win, the Wizards (5-4) move to over .500 on the year.
La Salle 46, Classical 38
The Rams held off a strong second-half run by the Purple and held on for the win. La Salle held a 23-19 lead at halftime, but Classical scored 14 in the third quarter to take a one-point lead at the start of the fourth.
La Salle would respond with a 14-point fourth to sew up the victory. Sophia Caparco led the way with 9 points for La Salle, and Avery Fisher added 8 in the win. Classical got 14 from Giavana Britto and 11 from Daniella Jimenez to pace the Purple.
🏀GIRLS BASKETBALL - Division II
Mt. Hope 67, Toll Gate 38
The Titans Lilly DaSilveira poured in 27 points and teammate Catherine Frawley dropped in 17 points of her own as The Huskies rolled to victory.
Alexandra Watson and Aria Eddy each had 10 points for Toll Gate in the loss.
Exeter-West Greenwich 44, Cranston East 16
Kate Hebert scored a game-high 17 points and to add to that she had 5 steals, 3 assists, 6 rebounds as the Scarlet Knights easily got by Cranston East. Also factoring in the win was Brielle Frenette who had 8 pts, 5 assists, 2 steals and 4 rebounds.
Moses Brown 58, East Greenwich 53
Lauren Bousquet had a remarkable night on offense, scoring 40 points, 21 in the second half, leading the Quakers to victory. Madison Wilson also factored in the win with 10 points and Win Stanley recorded 3 blocks.
For the Avengers in the loss, Rowan Carney and Chloe Hartman had 9 points apiece, Quinlan Darcey had 8 points and Madeline Asay scored 7.
Rogers 49, Tiverton 41
The Vikings took control early, but the Tigers never went away, battling back from an 11-point deficit at the break to give themselves a fighting chance down the stretch. Rogers, though, made sure to answer every challenge in the fourth to clinch this Newport-area clash.
ZadiaAponte led all scorers with 19 points for Rogers and Tameka Robertsonadder 12 in the win. For Tiverton, Jah'niece Branch scored a game-high 20 points and Sara Poland added 8.
🏀GIRLS BASKETBALL - Division III
Providence Country Day 26, Block Island 19
The Knights pitched a shutout in the second quarter, giving them the separation they needed to pull out the 26-19 victory over the Hurricanes.
It was a gritty defensive game from the start and baskets were hard to come by. Providence Country Day led 8-6 thanks to five points from Abigail Willi, but PCD flipped the game in the second half. The defense locked down and didn’t give up a single point while five from Samantha Drury put the Knights ahead 17-8 at the break. PCD’s defense continued to shine in the second half - giving up just three in the third quarter and six in the fourth - and the offense did what needed to be done to hold on to the win.
Drury finished as the Knights’ top scorer with eight points. Maggie Tuthill scored five for PCD and Victoria Vieira and Leana Arias both scored four in the win. Kamilia Gonzalez led Block Island with seven points. Drury and Keira Closter both scored six to account for the rest of the Hurricanes’ points.
Middletown 49, Achievement First 31
The Islanders raced out to a 19-0 lead in the first half and were never challenged after that in the win over Achievement First. Finley Berard had 19 points to lead the way for Middletown and teammate Addie Ford scored 10 points.
Silvyraida Mustafa topped AF with 16 points in the loss.
Prout 43, Pilgrim 41
Katie LaPlante found the range to score 16 points, including 3 threes, and teammate Lauren Gill added 11 more as Prout slipped past the Patriots.
Pilgrim made the end result close thanks to the play of Skylar Hawes, who scored 14 points and Leah Shea who dropped in 9 more.
