There were plenty of heroics for the Buffalo Bills in their 27-24 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday in NFL wild-card playoff action.

Two former Utes, Cole Bishop and Dalton Kincaid, were among the Bills who made momentum-changing plays during the fourth quarter.

Bishop intercepted a tipped pass from Trevor Lawrence in the final minute for a game-sealing pick, which followed Kincaid catching a 15-yard touchdown pass early in the fourth quarter to give Buffalo a lead.

The former University of Utah stars are two of five Utah ties on the Bills’ active roster, and with Sunday’s win, they’ll advance to the divisional round of the playoffs.

Bishop, who also had two tackles and a pass deflection in the contest, was in the right place when he made his first career postseason interception.

Moments after Buffalo retook the lead at 27-24 on a Josh Allen 1-yard touchdown run with 1:04 to play, Jacksonville started the ensuing possession at its own 23.

On the play, Lawrence threw over the middle on a pass intended for Jakobi Meyers, but Bills cornerback Tre’Davious White got a hand on the ball and Bishop was in the perfect spot to easily intercept the deflection.

From there, Buffalo capped the win with a couple of kneeldowns.

Earlier in the quarter, Kincaid made his own big play. With the Bills trailing 17-13 after 10 straight points from the Jaguars, Kincaid caught a pass from Allen near the sideline and scored on a 15-yarder to give Buffalo the lead back at 20-17 with 8:56 to play.

For Kincaid, the third-year pro, that’s his second career playoff touchdown, and his first since his rookie season.

He finished the game with three catches for 28 yards.

There were seven Utah ties in total who played in the Bills-Jaguars matchup.

Former Weber State cornerback Taron Johnson had two solo tackles for Buffalo, while former Utah punter Mitch Wishnowsky averaged 43.3 yards on three punts for the Bills.

Former Highland High tight end Jackson Hawes played his first postseason game for Buffalo, though he didn’t record any statistics.

For Jacksonville, former Utah linebacker Devin Lloyd had another standout game.

In addition to finishing with six tackles, including five solo stops, Lloyd recovered a fumble on a kickoff return that set the Jaguars up at the Buffalo 36 in the second quarter, though Jacksonville failed to score off the turnover after coming up short on a fourth-down attempt.

Another former Ute, wide receiver Tim Patrick, was targeted once but did not finish with any catches for Jacksonville.
