Brody Buzzard, Harrisburg wrestling
Harrisburg senior Brody Buzzard won the 285-pound division Jan. 6 to cap off the Class 3A Eagles' dual meet win over Class 6A West Linn.
Buzzard, a three-time state champion, pinned West Linn's Ronan Crawford.
Ambrose Gardner, Willamette basketball
Willamette sophomore guard Ambrose Gardner scored 24 points Jan. 8 to lead the Wolverines to an 84-60 road win over Roseburg.
Lucas LaBounty, Thurston basketball
Thurston senior guard Lucas LaBounty erupted for 34 points on 11-of-13 shooting Jan. 8 to lead the Colts to a 91-39 home win over Eagle Point.
Gianni Lombardi, Marist Catholic basketball
Marist Catholic senior forward Gianni Lombardi scored 15 points, grabbed eight rebounds and buried a pair of crucial late free throws Jan. 8 to lead the Spartans to a 45-44 road win over Stayton.
Dallen Morgan, North Eugene basketball
North Eugene senior guard Dallen Morgan scored 20 points and went 6 for 13 from 3-point range Jan. 6 to help the Highlanders to a 101-51 home win over Roseburg.
Calvin Yoder, South Eugene basketball
South Eugene senior guard Calvin Yoder scored 18 points Jan. 3 to help the Axe to a 73-60 road win over Sprague.
