Barcelona are at the centre of transfer speculation, and this time the spotlight is on one of their most exciting young attackers.

According to a report from Fichajes, Liverpool have identified Roony Bardghji as a key target and are prepared to submit an offer worth around €50 million to prise him away from the Blaugrana.

The reported interest comes at a crucial moment for both clubs, as Liverpool are actively planning for life after Mohamed Salah, with the Egyptian forward widely expected to leave next summer.

Replacing a player of Salah’s impact is no simple task, and Liverpool’s recruitment team are said to believe that Bardghji fits the profile they are looking for as they reshape their attack for the future.

Liverpool ready to go big

From Barcelona’s perspective, the situation is complex. Financially, the club remain under pressure, and a €50 million proposal would be difficult to ignore.

Sporting-wise, however, Bardghji is the type of young, high-potential talent Barcelona have worked hard to secure and develop.

His recent performance in the Spanish Super Cup has only strengthened his reputation, pushing him into conversations as one of the most promising forwards of his generation.

Liverpool’s pursuit is not seen as a coincidence, but rather part of a carefully planned transition.

With Salah’s departure looming, Arne Slot is eager to bring in a player who offers direct running, composure in front of goal, and the ability to thrive in high-tempo matches.

For the player himself, the interest arrives at a delicate point in his Barcelona journey.

Despite his strong individual performances, Bardghji is fully aware that breaking into Hansi Flick’s starting XI consistently will not be easy.

The rapid rise of Lamine Yamal has narrowed the path for the Swedish winger to establish himself as an automatic starter.

In that context, Liverpool’s proposal carries obvious appeal, as the Premier League side is offering Bardghji a central role in their attacking rebuild, positioning him as a cornerstone of the post-Salah era rather than a rotation option.
