Fans pick Indiana to win against Oregon in the Peach Bowl, College Football Playoff

A strong majority of fans believe the Hoosiers will beat the Ducks in the Peach Bowl and advance to the national championship game.

No. 1-seed Indiana football is set to take on No. 5-seed Oregon in the Peach Bowl, a College Football Playoff semifinal, on Friday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia and fans previewing the game seem to have a strong favorite.

A pretty solid majority of national college football fans who responded to an SB Nation Reacts Survey picked the Hoosiers to beat the Ducks:

There’s a pretty interesting wrinkle to this matchup given it’s a rematch of a game in the regular season. The Hoosiers traveled to Autzen Stadium in Eugene in October and beat the Ducks 30-20. It’s definitely not the only rematch of this playoff or those of years prior, Ohio State famously beat down Oregon in the Rose Bowl last year after losing to the Ducks in the regular season and Ole Miss upset Georgia this year after previously falling to the Bulldogs.

Indiana seized the playoff’s No. 1-seed after beating previous No. 1 Ohio State in the Big Ten Football Championship. The Hoosiers were the betting favorite before their first round blowout win over No. 9-seed Alabama and remain the favorite against No. 5-seed Oregon.
