Foot Africa has established that former Kaizer Chiefs defender Thatayaone Ditlhokwe is under the radar of several Betway Premiership clubs as his future hangs in the balance in Libya.

The 27-year-old stalwart left the Soweto giants in February in favor of a move to 18-time Libyan champions, Al-Ittihad, on a deal that runs until June 2027.

Since completing the move, Ditlhokwe has made 15 appearances across all competitions and chipped in with a solitary goal in the process.

However, Ittihad hierarchy and recently appointed head coach Khaled Ben Yahia are said to be unimpressed with the player's performances.

As a result, the Botswana national team captain has been deemed surplus to requirements alongside, Moroccan defensive midfielder Mohamed Zrida, and Yawo Agbagno of Togo.

Now, a source close to the matter has informed this publication that South African clubs Siwelele FC and Marumo Gallants are closely monitoring Ditlhokwe's situation.

The two Betway Premiership teams will face stern competition from North African clubs including Ceramica Cleopatra of Egypt, among others.

With Ditlhokwe understood to be on a bigger package at Ittihad, personal terms are expected to be difficult to iron out for interested suitors.
